My past experience includes a working as an Athletic Therapist and Massage Therapist at the McGill University Sports Medicine Clinic in Montreal. I have also had the pleasure of working with the Canadian National Men’s and Women’s 15’s and Men’s 7’s Rugby teams. one of the highlights included travelling with the 2011 Canadian Rugby World Cup team to Australia and New Zealand. I was lucky enough to stay and study Physiotherapy in New Zealand and graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2015 with a BHSc. Physiotherapy. I worked in New Zealand as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in a private practice before moving back to Canda at the end of 2016. I am currently working towards obtaining my physiotherapy license in Canada.
I enjoy working with a variety of individuals including elite athletes, dancers, musicians, weekend warriors and hard-working professionals. My goal is to use my skill set to provide optimal treatments and to help improve overall well-being.
What is an Athletic Therapist?
Athletic Therapists are experts in prevention and rehabilitation of muscle, bone and joint injuries.
Athletic Therapists treat a wide range of people from children to seniors using various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription, bracing and taping. An Athletic Therapist’s main goal is to help people return to their usual activities which can include anything from returning to a competitive sport or to daily tasks around the house.
Athletic Therapists are versatile in the way that they are able to provide quick on-field emergency care as well as in-depth injury assessment, clinically reasoned treatment and rehabilitation.
